San Clemente is a travel destination in and of itself! At the "Spanish Village by the Sea," you can find amazing beaches, ocean-view hiking trails, excellent dining, and boutique shopping. San Clemente has a rich history of surfing culture, unlimited sunshine, and a charming small-town vibe. Most famous are the local surf beaches "Trestles" and "San Onofre" if you want to watch the locals and visitors surf!
We love visiting Laguna Beach. I've linked Main Beach as the main attraction as a reference point; walk from Heisler Park to Picnic Beach, explore the shops and restaurants on Ocean Ave, or make it a true beach day and visit one of the coves or beaches along the PCH. My personal favorite is "Cresent Bay." Whatever you do - the weekends can be busy so arrive a tad early so you can get a good parking spot.
